Arizona Angels Studio - Dance-A-Thon Scheduled to Benefit Victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita

Dance-A-Thon Scheduled to Benefit Victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita SCOTTSDALE, Arizona , Oct. 7 -- The Arizona Angels Studio, a dance studio in Scottsdale, AZ will host a Dance-A-Thon to benefit the flood evacuees of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita on Saturday, October 15, 2005 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. One-hundred of the studio's 300 dance students and 25 instructors plan on raising $10,000 at the Dance-A-Thon to donate to the hurricane victims by asking sponsors to donate $10 each or more. The Dance-A-Thon is one of many ways the Arizona Angels Studio is involved with the local community. Dance students ages two to 19 are encouraged to become involved in acts of charitable service through Studio-organized activities such as feeding 350 homeless families during the Holidays, participating in the Special Olympics, and joining the Fashion Show to benefit the Emily Center at the Phoenix Children's hospital. All proceeds from next Saturday's Dance-A-Thon will be donated to the American Red Cross. Although the event is not open to the general public, the Studio is accepting additional donations.
