HABITAT FOR HUMANITY IKEA TEMPE HELPS HABITAT FOR HUMANITY IKEA TEMPE HELPS HABITAT FOR HUMANITY MAKE FEEL AT HOME December 01 , 2005 by Kathleen Gorden Phoenix, AZ (December TBD, 2005) – Habitat for Humanity Valley of the Sun and IKEA Tempe, the Swedish home furnishings retailer that offers a wide range of well-designed, functional and affordable products have partnered again to help families in need make a house a home. Recognizing the importance of having a place for a family to gather and be comfortable in a new home, IKEA Tempe will give each family a $200 IKEA Tempe gift card on completion of their new Habitat home. Habitat for Humanity believes that every person deserves a simple, decent and affordable place to live, and that families do not receive a hand out, but become self-sufficient through a hand up. “We take great pride in our relationship with Habitat, and IKEA believes it’s essential to have an impact within the local community. Additionally, we’re excited to provide this meaningful donation “to create a better everyday life for the many people participating in this year’s program,” said Lars Meyer, store manager of IKEA Tempe.
